Although Halloween is a month away, it’s never too early to remind folks with black cats that they might need more protection during that superstitious time. We have three black cats (well, two and a Tuxedo) and we never let them out around that day. Although, to their credit, they seem to know ‘which side of the butter their bread is on’ and never venture out in the front yard during that crazy time. We have a functioning cat door to the garage, but they’ve figured out the lock mechanism. (!)
To paraphrase an old Navy saying, ‘Protect ’em if you got ’em!’
