Please do something when you see animals in need! Feed them, protect them from the freezing winter weather…something. Better yet, practice TNR (Trap, Neuter, Release) to help keep the pet population down.
And, above all, adopt, don’t shop! Don’t support the kitten and puppy mills that churn out litter after litter, often in deplorable conditions.
There is an endless supply of cats (and dogs) in shelters just hoping for a chance at a forever home! They don’t always have to be kittens. Middle aged and senior cats still have a lot of love to give.
And don’t overlook black cats! We have 3; they are the best!
